Looking over the reciepts on this recent 70 SS396 purchase and noticed the previous owner replaced the rear springs with 1.5" taller springs along with an entire suspension over haul. The car corners very flat and rides nice but the wheel hop has got go! If I reposition the lower control arms to achieve a paralell setup will that reduce this wheel hop or do i have to scrap these taller springs?

From what I've read you need to have the lower arms parallel with the ground. You could cut the existing springs to lower the rear or I think hotchkis (sp) makes brackets to raise the rear end of the upper arms. They are called "no hop bars", that way even with the back of the car higher than stock you will still have good geometry. I think they came out back when everyone had air shocks with the back end jacked up to the limit. Are your shocks new? That's all I've got for you. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
