Do any of you guys have the preferred specs to align an 81 Malibu wagon? I have to attempt to do this tomorrow. The front springs have been changed to the Moog 5660's which I believe drop the ride height by 1.5" or so.

Tom,
Just finished a shelving project in the basement and saw your post.

Here are the stock specs:

CAMBER + .8 plus or minus .5 tolerence
CASTER + 3.0 plus or minus .75 tolerence
TOE + .15 plus or minus .8 tolerence
All readings are in degrees

For hi-performance street driving

CAMBER - .5 plus or minus .2 tolerence
CASTER + 4.5 plus or minus .5 tolerence
TOE + .5 no tolerence

For good handling you basically want your camber to be zero to half a degree negative, with as much caster as you can dial into your chassis. It may be difficult to get your caster readings up as a G-body chassis is subject to the same frame sag problems as a chevelle is.Moog has offset upper control arm shafts if you need them.HTH

Johns numbers don't look too bad. Toe-in 1/2 degree is a little high, I would try to keep toe to a total of 5/16 in or less.

graemlins/beers.gif That toe spec should have read .05 and thats in degrees which is equal to about 1/32.Thats about as close to zero as I would recommend.
