What would be the best approach to raising the front end level with the rear on a 70 chevelle

New, correct springs is the only approach. You sure the rear is stock height?

Its got air shocks on the rear so thats adjustable for now till I change it. The car would have problems with speed bumps and has from the look of the underside.

I think you should reconsider using the air shocks to adjust ride heght in the rear. A much better approach would be either new springs or air bags inside the springs. The ride will be much better and you won't be putting a lot of stress on the upper shock mount. Ther have been bent and cracked mounts from doing what you are doing.

Thanks for the input. I have only had the car a couple of weeks still checking it out. Can you recommend witch springs are good. Are what I would find at the local Napa the same as what I would find online.

I just re-did the front springs in my 70 elky with Hotchkis 1" lowering springs (PN#1901F - They were $139 from Summit) They replaced older Cut stock springs that sat super low. It sits REAL nice now... Not too low and dragging- but also not the super high nose stock look either.

Check out the link in my sig, and look in the "Newest Pix" album to see how it turned out.

The airbags you would want are the from AirLift Co.- The ones for our cars are called the AirLift 1000. Jegs & summit sell them for about $70. Real easy to install. I run a set of those in the back of the elcamino also...

Iv got all Hotchkis components under my 67. I got the "TVS" kit that they have it is complete and nice. I got it from hotchkis.net they were like 300 cheaper than everyone else. Springs might be to, Im not shure.
