I need to replace trans mount. I already have new motormounts installed.
Do you have a poly trans mount??
Do you think it is a good idea to mix regular engine mounts with a poly trans mount?? Why or why not?

Yes - I installed both motor & trany mounts with poly ones. The trany mount will cause motor mnts to fail. Some guys will replace the trany and driver side mounts with poly mounts. The pass side is always under "Compression" during accelaration, therefor the only time it goes bad is when the others fail.

I too have the poly mounts at all three points. Very happy with them. As for mixing them, I don't know.

Is anyone making a poly big block mount for a 70. I ordered one several months back but was sent small block mounts. My other question is, will the poly mount effect header clearence?

I have Energy Suspension mounts in my car. They all have that extra flat piece of steel that comes with it. What is the purpose of this thing, and what happens if I take it out?
