I cannot watch video on any of my computers (3) they all start and then drop out. By using one computer only, does not help. Could the modem be the problem?

Thanks
Jon

What kind of videos, ones off the internet on web pages or on your hard drive? If on your hard drive what kind of files (wmv, mpeg or ???) and what player, windows media player, quicktime or ???

If from the internet what are your download speeds. You can check here and post the numbers
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest

You may also need to update your flash player, latest version is 10

Greg,
Off the computer is fine. It seems anything off the internet is where the problem is. All three machines have a min. of 2 gb memory.

I'd say it is your download/upload speed. To put it in prespective, my dl speed is 289 Xs what your's is. You may be better off downloading the video first, then watching. Rather then trying to stream the video. It will take too long to buffer.

You are getting 34KB/S. That is Dial-up speed? Are you connecting using a modem, air card?

I am using a Verizon DSL modem. Westell model 327 W. I used to be able to watch video with no problem. Maybe I need to call Verizon.

Thanks,
Jon

276kbps ?
Yeah , before you call, try powering down the modem for a minute or 2 then power back up and see if that helps.
My old Westell's and Speedstream's needed a 'reboot' occasionally.
