I brought my sled to a frame shop because there is a visible angle when looking at the rear end.
As I suspected there is a bend in the frame, for a few hundred bucks they will straighten it for me.
I also need to do a lot of suspension repairs and up grades,,
should I wait until im done with my work before having it straightened or do i want to straighten the frame first?

That's a tough question - on one hand, you would have to pay for an alignment after doing suspension upgrades, so you'd want the frame straight first. But on the other hand, if the 'few hundred bucks' for straightening includes aligning your suspension parts too, then you may be better off putting the new parts on and then getting the frame straightened. I suggest you ask the people at the frame shop for their opinion.

I wouldn't think you'd want a bent frame when doing suspension work. It can be hard enough, sometimes, to get parts in when the frame is straight. smile.gif

Ed, the frame shop took some measurements and found where bend is and found the diamond is off 1/2". the center is straight.
they knew I am going to work on the front and rear suspension and asked if I could bring it in after the work is done. Im with Tim on this,, I Have a lot of Spendy New parts im about to throw under there -
Adjustable upper and boxed lower control arms with mounting braces in rear. negative roll system control arms in front. sway bars front and rear...Tires, Rims, shocks, springs -- ca-ching , that's a lot of money to put on a frame rack and start twisting, im afraid there will be damage to all my new $tuff ..and or the installation will be difficult,
I don't know what goes on while straightening a frame but, wouldn't it make more since to do it with the old junk under there rather than do that to the nice new stuff?
