Im converting from manual to power brakes. I just bought MP brakes power booster and mastercylinder. I also bought 2 residual valves . Im going to go get the residual valves put into the existing brake lines or possibly go ahead and possibly get new lines made. I noticed that the break lines were different sizes. Will this be correct for a power booster setup and will the existing proportioning type valve that is there for the manual be ok for the booster setup?

I used mine and it seems to be working ok, the only thing I added was a metering valve to front line like what was on the 70 that hooked to the booster. I think that the residual valve does the same thing as the metering valve. The lines are the same for manual and power 1 is a 1/4 and ones 3/16 I had to change a few fittings and re-flare. The problem I had was getting the valve to pop. when you put air in the system the valve in the distribution block slides to one direction. which causes the brake light to come on when you push the pedal to the floor. mine slid to the rear so I had to play with the bleeders and get it re-centered. so I'd have some pedal. If ya need help with it let me know. I just completed mine and everything is still fresh. good luck
