Regarding a 67 Smallblock Malibu, what is the best spindle to look for to lower the front 1" or so?

I think you only can get a two inch drop on spindles. If you only want to drop an inch, drop coils or cutting your existing coils is your best option. I did both(cut springs and drop spindles) on 65, I think its a little too low.

I cut a coil in my 66 and it dropped about 1.75" over the space of a couple years. These were new springs so some of that could have been normal spring settling. Here is a picture:

I have to lift the front to slid a floor jack under the crossmember.

The Global West spindles are a 1" drop.
