Can you retrofit a standard dash for the tach dash and how would it look...? has anyone done this and how did it look.....? :confused:

As far as I know both dashes are the same. Question, if you have a tach why change?

If you mean the dash carrier assembly (the big plastic piece that's between the glove box and the left side of the car) they are the same. The only difference between the carriers is whether they are for an A/C or Non-A/C car.
If you mean the dash cluster assembly (the part with the gauges attached to it) the difference is that the tach has a clear lens in the center so you can see the tach, the other dash has a solid center molded with a Chevelle script in it. It's interchangeable with the other carrier, but if you have a tach, you won't be able to see it. :D
