I didn't even have to get them pressed in or anything! All i did was grind the por-15 out of the bushing holes and pound the #&@^ out of them with a 5 pounder and they went right in! Didn't even come close to warping the control arms or anything. Just thought i'd let everybody know it's safe to do if you don't have a press and don't want to pay. Just make sure you protect the finish with some shop towels, i didn't at first and have a bit of touching up to do! thanks for all the help though.-james

James,
funny thing seein your post. One of my pass side upper A arm bushings from PST (that i've only had installed for 4 months) fell out a couple of days ago!!! I know i torqued down the bolt correctly, but i backed off and the bushing came out. I called PST, their sending me a new one compliments of their great customer service. Do i have take my suspension apart ( graemlins/sad.gif ) to get the new one on????? Thanks Alot.

Bushings should be in there really tight. Did the rubber come out or the sleeve and all? Did the bushing just fall out, im not sure how that'd be possible with the screw in retainers on the cross shaft and all. It possibly could be your control arm hole being a bit too big maybe the previous owner grinded the hole a bit to make his own bushing install easier  . Did the bushings from PST just slide in easily or did you have to press them in? They should have been a bitch to get in I don't know how else they would "loosen" and just fall out like you said. good luck.-james

If the bushing shell backed out it may not have enough of a press fit. The common repair is to put a spot weld to retain the shell. I had to do this on a set of 55 Chevy lower arms this last weekend.
