What is the difference between the chassis overhaul manual and the chassis service manual? I have the chassis service manual but not the overhaul manual. Where is the best place to buy one?

The overhaul manual gets more deeply into tearing down and re-assembling the various components of the car. It covers rebuilding of steering gears, brake boosters, alternators , transmissions and so on. I got a couple of them from used book stores. Ebay would be a possible source.

For example: Chassis Manual will cover brake job; Overhaul Manual will cover differential gearset setup. Search google on 1970 Chevelle factory service manual; find many: used copies, factory-authorized reprints, CDs containing pdf files of the manuals. Prices all over from 28.95 to 59.95 for the Cds for instance...
