It's getting there. Cage should be done in a few weeks. From what i hear, they are working on the shift tower and wiring now.

That's what I heard today when I talked to my kids. Last night it was -2 with a high today of around 15 here. Not much difference really.

My mom's boyfriend had to go to Anchorage for surgery for the week. I am up here visiting friends and house sitting (lots of beer consumption)

Kyle it was great to finally meet you....definitely good times. Hopefully I can get Friday off so we can go check out that lodge you had mentioned last night oh yeah and of course have a couple:beers:. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

It just so happens that I have a 5 hr layover in Anchorage tomorrow. I will be coming home with a Great Alaska Bush Company hat.

I had a pretty eventful night last night. I stopped by the Chatanika lodge for dinner and a film crew for the discovery channel came in. They were filming a pilot for some show about mining in Alaska. It was pretty cool. I may just end up on TV.

Then I went out to start the truck and the battery was dead. It was 25 below last night. Had to get a ride to my mom's place, pick up her '82 POS bronco plowrig and bring it back to the lodge to jump start the Toyota.

Ended up finally getting everything done at about 3 am. Boy it was cold out there last night.

It just so happens that I have a 5 hr layover in Anchorage tomorrow. I will be coming home with a Great Alaska Bush Company hat.

No problem. I got your text when I got back into town this evening. I may be coming back up for a week in late Jan, early Feb.

Make sure that if you get a chance to visit the Chatanika Lodge, tell the owner Ron that you know me.

Also make sure he lets you call some Tarmigan. It is pretty cool. Tarmigan are the Alaska state bird and he has a horn that is made by the Natives to call them in.

I have a shirt from the great alaska bush company. Although I've had it for 25 years it's Pretty cool.
