Hello, i have a 69 malibu with man/ drum brakes
I plan on buying all the disc components to convert to power disc. 69's have a separate metering valve/ proportioning valve. Is the metering block on the car now work with the power disc proportioning valve or did power brake cars have a different metering block on the frame

I just did the same conversion on my '69 convertible by machining the spindles (about .580") and purchasing rotors, calipers, and bearings. Metering valve is different but I haven't found a source yet - someone suggested NAPA but haven't checked yet. One big problem is the caliper brackets, good luck finding them at a reasonable price. Another posting suggested GroundUp offers them for $100/pr I think.
