My 66 cutlass has its original tranny... Its the M14 HD 3spd, aka Dearborn 3spd. Its the one thats actually made by FoMoCo. I belive this tranny was also put in chevelles, at least in 1966.

I'm going to be getting a 454 to put in my car shortly and would like to keep using the tranny for a while...

It will need the chevy bellhousing for it.

Just wondering if anyone knows, are the manual tranny bellhousings all the same, or will this take something specific? What would the interchange be? Does anyone know?

Thanks-
Ben

contact a vendor such as Transdapt (Cerrillos CA) an outfit such as that should be able to help... Another might be McLeod, the clutch manufacter. recently read an older Car Craft article (1998) that outlined swaps for supposedly any engine in any car. The article listed a lot of vendors, and obscure parts.
