I'm not worried about originality or anything...I just want something nice and clean looking...plus I'm cheap. Want to resto lamp housings on my 68. Was thinking about zinc plating them. But I can't figure out how to get the lamp socket out of the housing.

How do you do that???

pretty sure it's kind of a press fit, makes for a good ground, maybe just tape around the outside of the socket or just leave the bulb in when you paint. Hi heat silver is what I would use. JMHO.

I bead blasted them inside and out and also painted with high heat silver.
