I have a 1967 Cheveelle Malibu, California car. All numbers seem to match with original CA black and yellow plates. I need to put in new shocks and springs. Can anyone reccommend a good brand of shocks so my car shows well and handles well? It has been repainted, 327 engin rebuilt, trans rebuilt, inter, pretty much stock though. I would like to also get headers on, but concerend about keeping it original, any comments
Thanks in advance

If you want to keep it "original" Ground Up and Original Parts Group sell the spiral type delco shocks. If you want it to handle you can use KYB or for better performance use Bilsteins' graemlins/waving.gif
Bilsteins are kind of spendy but well worth it.. Have had them on my last 2 Chevelles and they make an amazing difference.

Welcome, I think you'll find there are a whole lot of very knowledgable people here that are glad to help. BTW, I think the 67 is about the best looking of the Chevelles with 66's next. Of course, I have one of each. Pictures linked in my sig. They are not beauty queens but both do what they need to.
KYB's are probably the best of the less expensive shocks.
There are a lot of things you can do that are easy to restore to original. If the car is concours then I'd keep it totally stock. In an otherwise numbers car, you can install headers and different shocks and do a number of other bolt on upgrades since these can be easily returned to stock. Cutting the car, like backhalfing it or chopping up the floor to install a 6 speed trans, is different. Be sure to keep all the original parts so it can they restored to the car.

I would have to give a nod to the NEW Reproduction Spiral Shocks. Because they are new and not NEW OLD STOCK, you will find them made very well, not very expensive and will likely do what you need them to do. Though KYB's would likely be better, just not correct if you are looking to go that direction.
Good luck
