I was looking to update my 1970SS chevelle floor shift cluster from idiot lights to guages. I found a column shifted cluster and would like to know if can be modified or used? Is there some type of block off plate or can I use parts from my existing cluster?

The only difference should be the speedo. Take it out and use your old speedo. The column shifted speedo has a little rectangle cut out for the drive indicator. I recently changed speedos, going from a bench seat to buckets. Its not very difficult with the cluster out.
