Hi all, just recently purchased a 1969 Chevelle Convertible "Project" for my Dad and I to work on. Hopefully it will turn out to be one of those memorable experiences that when my Dad or I look back on will bring a tear and a smile to our faces. I have been reading quite a lot here and just thought I would share and say thanks for all the valuable information this site has. Here's what we got to work with...

Welcome aboard! I'm the Dad in a father/son Chevelle obsession. You are absolutely right about the tears and smiles. No doubt about it! We've been partners since '02.

Good luck with your project! It's going to be sweet when it's done!

welcome....nice looking '69.....got a dvd in the mail from hot rod magazine. dream ride series..one of those deals where if you keep it you pay for it and get the next in the series - so I sent it back. it had a very informative how-to on replacing the floor boards on a '70 convertible. I highly suggest you get a copy before yall go to cutting things up. ROLL TIDE !!!

Thanks for the advice...I will definitely look into that. I have been staring at the floor boards for the past few days just mapping it all out in my head so far.
