Hello

I installed a set of Global West coil springs into my 71 Chevelle and now I have a small problem :( . When I travel over bump or imperfection in the road sometimes the rear tires scrub. It is even more noticable with a passenger or two in the vehicle. The springs are a matched set and drop ride height about 1 inch from spec. I am running 15x8.5 rims with P245-60-R15 at all 4 corners. What are some ideas to cure this problem? Thanks for any input.

Bert,
What kind of backspacing are you running with those wheels? Those tires should fit with ease (depending on your backspacing).

I am running about a 4 inch back spacing with 15X8.5 rims. Hardly any clearance between body and top side of tires. Possibly due to the fact that new springs drop ride height one inch. Any ideas to cure problem?
