I try to get on every day, several times a day but sometimes I can't. In the past, when looking at 'New Posts' there would be however many pages. Lately there seems to be a maximum of 8 pages, regardless of how many pages over 8 there actually is. I understand this was probably done to save badwidth or something but I 'missing out' on a lot of new posts (unless I go to every section). Any input on this? Thanks!

OK ,I'll ask,how do you know 8 isn't correct and how do you know there's more than 8 pages if that's all that show up ?
Site hasn't been that busy with new post's this month so not sure anything's wrong.

It must be a forum default. A search by 'new post' or 'today's post' 8 pages is all it ever shows. If the search is by an individual section it goes further back than 8 pages.

Noticed the same thing here - 8 pages max, even if I haven't been on in several days. Although - the few times I tried to check it (only with 1 day's worth of posts, though) the times looked good, as though 8 pages was the correct # - but that's only been a couple times I even bothered to try.

I have a question. How can I deault every subject to show "last week"'s posts instead each thread being for different amount of time and changing it each time on every thread?
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks guys

The search is the same way. You used to be able to type in a screen name in the search and go back to their very first post, it only shows 8 pages now. Which for users like Grandsport is only what, like one day's worth of posts?:D
It sucks because it makes it harder to find OLD threads with useful information. If you can nail a few words in the thread it may come up but when it's like a common topic and one old thread had all the good info, it's pointless to even try.

Just another 'improvement' to the site!

I have never actually tried searching through new threads that way. I usually just go through all the individual forums I enjoy.
