Hey do you guys think I colud get by with lowering my front end using coil spring tensioners? I know it is not as good as new coils but was wondering if it was ok to do?

AAAAHHHHHGGGGGG, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. You want to do what????

Clamping, installing, wedging, compressing anything onto a coil spring is a VERY BAD IDEA and NOT SAFE. You will be way better off to just cut as coil with a hacksaw then do attempt any sort of JC Whitney "lowering kit".

I have no idea why the gov't hasn't stepped in and banned those stupid kits, they are as bad as the the twist in wedges for raising.

No really Denny, let it out. :D Tell us what you really think.

Oreg,

I would have to agree with Denny on this one. If you want to lower the car and don't have the $$$ for new springs, you would be best off cutting your current coils.

Thanks for the opinion guys! Gonna get the new springs then. Hey Do you guys think I would be ok getting one inch lowering springs in front and stock height ride for rear? I want to lower the front so the rake is more down in the front.
