Again I need the help of the Chevelle fans. I need new rear brake drums for my 1972 Chevelle SS 12 bolt rear. The Raybestos book is asking if I have flared hub holes or non flared hub holes. Can anyone help me with this question? I am not sure what they mean, any help would be great!
Gary.

look at the old drums where the hub hole is. some drums has a slight flare at this hole and others are flat. hope this helps.

I can't verify that the axles are the same size in the flange area but I have seen that the flaired drums seem to have a thinner flange mating surface than the "flat" drums. if you have the old drums to match I would match them. if you dont you should be able to return them as long as they haven't been machined. the easiest way to check flange fit is to flip the new drum over and test the fit that way so your not going over the shoes first. again i hope this helps i hate to rattle on.
