I was looking at all the tech help you guys give eachother and was wondering if you knew of any factory parts to make a 10blolt drum rear end disc? I don't have the money for a complete new kit so if anyone knows of some cars that were equipped with discs and that would hopefully fit on my 78 El Camino that would be a great help

I pulled the rear discs out of an 81 El Dorado and other than redrilling the caliper mounting plates, bolts right up. The outer diameter of your axle flanges have to be turned down to fit inside of the hat too....

Yeah, I bought a complete rear disc setup from an LS1 car (98and up) and it's a bolt on affair. Pretty cool looking too!!!!

I've installed rear disks from a Blazer or S-10. I used 4x4 hardware with 2wd rotors. Almost a bolt on. It required a few shims on the mounting brackets to get them in the right position and the rotors needed the hole ground just a little bit (used a die grinder going round and round) to go on the axle. The rotor would go on about 1/2 way or so.

Camsweet is correct, also The Caddy seville works. They make aftermarket axeles for this swap.Instead of having the rotors machined.. Get the swap from unsuspecting pick your owns or be prepared to pay the premimum.. Forewarned is foreskined..........
