i have dash out,putting in all new gauges.

anything i should now about the speedo while it's out of dash as far as repair.

speedo works fine right now.

I don't think speedos should be worn by anyone over the age of 21 much less 67. :)

If the speedometer works smoothly without the needle jumping around and the odometer works it is probably ok.

While everything is apart clean and lube the speedometer cable.

I'd buff out the lens to like new and repaint the needle with some caution red paint. Might look at your blinker green lens and see if they need replacing along with the highbeam lens. Maybe spin the milage to zero if your doing a restoration or putting in a new moter. DON'T wipe the gauge face with any cleaners or you'll smear the numbers.

my wife also said no speedos.
