We always got it at the paint store (industrial paint) when I was slinging a brush, roller and spray rig.

Check with a local bulk oil distributor--say you want mineral spirits.

BillL f it's mineral spirits, then that can usually be found in the paint section of hardware stores, and even in the paint sections of chain stores like Sears, Home Depot, and Lowes.

True, but they're selling it in 1 qt to 1 gallon cans. When you're filling a 30 gallon parts washer, that can get expensive. Buying in bulk will save a lot of $$$.
Lowe's sells it for $9.50~$12 a gallon. I got a 55 gallon drum delivered here for $145 a few years back.

WW Grainger sells it in 5 gal pails or 55 gal drums

I went with simple green (diluted) in mine to keep the smell down in my attached garage.
