: upper a arm bolts

i rebuilt my front suspension complete exept my upper control arm to frame bolts can anyone tell me what i can use in place of these bolts the where so bads 2 of them where destroyed when we took them out thanks for any help

I strongly suggest you get a new set of those exact bolts, nothing else would work as well. Since these bolts hold the suspension to the rest of the car they are very, very important.

You can use a grade 8 7/16 bolts in place of the originals. The only drawback is you need to hold the bolt head as the old ones are splined and stay tight in the frame.

Check the Chevy dealer for this item, you might be able to get them there.
These splined bolts are also available from Year-One, thats where I got mine, there are several other aftermarket supplyers you can get them from. you need these bolts because when you have the front end aligned the heads of the bolts are under the upper control arm and really no way to hold on to it!
when the nut needs to be loosened to add or subtract shims the splines on the bolt hold it in place. I have heard of folks tack welding a bolt in place after they trashed the splined one, I guess it's what ever you feel comfortable in doing.
