I'm about 95% done with my Malibu to SS dash swap, but I've come across some "extra" brackets. I've gone all over the dash and can't seem to find a spot for them. Does anyone know where these need to go?

Zach, read this post about the bar "J" shaped bracehttp://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=298625:thumbsup:

The "C" shaped brace could be for the radio. Don't know for sure, as I do not have a radio in mine.:D

The L shape bracket is the radio bracket, they are different for the type of radio you have. That is the one like mine for a AM/FM radio. The one for the AM/FM 8 track is different.

As a person whos done the swap many times. Make sure you use ALL the GM bracketry-even the repro ones will work. Especially the one that fits between the upper dash vent and carrier support, that little "J" thingy bracket, the rear radio support bracket, heater control unit support bracket, and use all the attaching hardware that goes with them.(you'd be suprised how many of these are left off due to fitiment issues) Those annoying squeks and rattles are/were a real PITA to track down especially if one is using a repro dash carrier.
