I've replaced my bushings before storing the car in a garage for 7 years. graemlins/boring.gif I know I know 7 years! Well, now I’m starting to restore her the right way. graemlins/thumbsup.gif I've replaced the bushings and maybe put 100 miles on them. Can they go bad? Looking at them they seem to have some little cracking on the edges but from what I remember they were that way from being squeezed on.
Also, I need to install some front small block springs? Any suggestions on Manufacturer? I'm looking at getting her to sit 1-2"'s lower than stock, and handle a little better. In the past I’ve lowered cars using drop Spindles, would these work better than lowered springs on a "heavy Chevy"?

I think I would use lowering springs. It will give a stiffer ride and be easier if your suspension is all together already.

I used Hotchkis lowering springs. It's about a 1" to 1-1/2" drop.
