I have 1968 Chevelle. When I was looking at the bushing upgrade sites it asks if they are round or oval. Is this specific to years or could they have used either from 68-72? Do I need to pull them to know? Thanks in advance.

There talking about the lower control arm bushings
like on my 70 malibu one was round and the other was oval. Dont know why some came with both round and some with round and oval. If you look at the lower arm its pretty easy to tell the round and oval apart, hope this helps!!

It's hard to tell unless you actually take the arm off. All lower control arms have at least one round bushing hole. The other may be round as well, but it could be oval. Don't assume just because one side is both round the other will be the same, on my '72 one side had double round and one side had one round and one oval! Just make sure you check both sides.-james

I could be wrong, but I think they were all round until 1970, when SOME cars got ovals.
