I measured with my tape from Energy Suspension and came up with 15/16. Is this right? I am ordering new bushings and want to get the right ones..LOL..

That sounds about right for a stock, non Super Sport, front 1972 sway bar. Another way to measure is to get a Cresent (adjustable) wrench and fit it to the size of the bar, then measure the opening on the Cresent wrench.

The stock front bar on my 1972 El Camino (non-SS) was 15/16".

Yeah, it is right. I took a Micrometer and measured it and it was JUST under 15/16" at the worn spot from the bushing.

If I remember correctly, there were 3 bars used for 1972, the biggest being 1 1/8" My car had the 15/16 bar and is not an SS.
