I need to replace the springs on my 70 malibu small block. It has no a/c setup now but I may put another system in it eventually. JC Whitney has Moog# 5390 w/ac and #5380 w/o ac. If I get the 5380 springs will I have to replace them if do I put ac in? If I get the 5390 springs will it sit too high without the ac installed???? I'm also going with the CC501 springs for the rear. Will this work?

I have heard good things about the Rear CC501 springs, i am purchasing those for my car this weekend and installing them. CAN'T WAIT! smile.gif I will let you know how they ride etc.

Not sure how much the AC setup weighs. But I guess you can count on it lowering the front of the car some when installed.

I would err on the the side of having the car end up lower than having it be too high.

I'd put in non-AC springs. Car should look level. If you put in AC later, the front might drop a bit (don't know if you'd notice, it can't drop it that much) which will look fine. Going with springs that put the front end up higher than the rear is going to look weird.
