Nothing on the trim tag nor the VIN would indicate whether or not one of the SS options were ordered.
You can decode the trim tag and VIN through respective links at http://www.chevellestuff.com/1970/index.htm as well as get a little more detail on 70 SS Chevelles at http://www.chevellestuff.com/1970/70ss.htm.

Looks fine to me. I assume you are questioning the difference between the "R" in the vin and the "BT" on the trim tag. Thats the way Arlington built cars were that year. My 71 has an "R" on both tags so I guess they changed them starting in 71.

BT is correct for arlington, june second week is build date. the only way to prove ss or not is with build sheet. unless you have complete history so on so forth. the build sheets for arlinton cars were only found under tar paper ie, sound deadner drivers side where feet would set. my car is 05E with vin seq 250010. oh you can look for con vin under heater core cover below blowere motor hole.

up to and including 1970 Arlington used 'BT' on the Trim Tags
From 1971 models forward it used 'R'
The change means a different plant was building the body, new facility, new line, new location, different division management. Something changed and the code changed to reflect it.
From about 1967 thru 1970 GM was undergoing management consolidation. Fisher Body was being phased out, the Fisher production was being absorbed by the plants as one unit instead of 2 companies. They were also placing all assembly plants under GMAD. Chevrolet used to run some plants and B-O-P (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) used to run others. It took several years and building of new facilities to finalize the transitions.
The called the new arm of GM the GM Assembly Division. It removed control for assembly from the divisions and eliminated many duplicate facilities.
Arlington was a B-O-P plant that built Chevrolet's since 1963. Chevrolet sold more vehicles they then the other GM divisions combined. All the B-O-P plants will have a B in the trim tag ID code on Chevy cars.
