Thanks to all that replied to my post a while back re: What the heck-this just fell out of my trans.
To recap: I had a high pitch whining coming from my trans. Speedo also died. I pulled the speedo gear out a a clip fell out.
Jim Brady had taken care of the trans rebuild a few years and 106 miles ago. I told him what happened and he got the trans shop to warrantly the fix.
I trailered the car to Deltrans in DE and they were waiting for me at 7:30am. They told me they would be done in a few hours so I took a short trip to Jim's shop.
I always like visiting Jim's shop cause you never know what you're going to see. He's got more Chevelle (and other cars) parts than I ever seen in one place.
Anyhow, I hung out a while there and Jim took me for a ride in his stock U code 72 Chevelle Convertible. I gotta tell you, that car really surprised me! He had that 402 wound up with the car smoking the radials with the car sideways a few times! A lot of fun!
Got the car back, all is well. No unexpected charges. Thanks again Jim. :hurray:
