: Where to buy short pushrod for '70 model booster?

I just bought a new Delco master cylinder for my '70 with power disk brakes. Unlike the original cylinder, it needs the short booster pushrod (approx 2 5/8 inches long). The GM dealer can't get it, and junkyards make you buy the whole booster to get the rod. Here's a pic I found of the two different sizes:

Any help with this matter would be appreciated. I would be glad to trade with anyone with the opposite problem.

It sounds like you got a 71-72 master. I can't help you with the push rod but we have gone as far as taking the piston assembly out of a master and swapping the piece that receives the push rod to make 'em match. Do you still have your old one that was with that booster?

Engineer, Email me at 1970ss@cox.net so we can set up the trade.

Thanks for the piston swap suggestion Doug. It's good to know there are other options.
