: New brakes for 1969 elcamino???

where can i get a set of new brakes for my elcamino :confused: , it already has disc brakes and i want to up grade them but all the up grades are conversion kits. So any help on this would be great smile.gif

I assume you have stock rotors and pads. Have you considered upgrading to slotted and/or drilled rotors with high performance pads, ceramic pads maybe. I am in the same situation you are in and that is what I'm thinking of doing. There are plenty of companies out there selling high performance rotors and pads.

Drilled rotors will do NOTHING to improve your braking performance, PLEASE don't get me started on this. Search the web, you will find tons of tech information on this subject. For the most part the only people who are still convinced they have any benefit are the uninformed and those who sell them (even many of them admit to no performance gain).

Pad composition on the other hand wil greater determine overall stopping distances. That is not the impression I got though, I sounded as if you were looking for something more than just some better quality pads.
