When I was at the SEMA show this year I noticed an entire row dedicated to Chinese knock off products. The first thing that caught my eye was those A-Body A-Arms.. I compared the ones in that ad to the ones I saw at SEMA. I am 99% sure they are the same A-Arms so that tells me where they are buying them from. The Chinese are starting to knock off a lot of aftermarket automotive parts... the biggest item I noticed was exhaust items suck as chrome tips for expensive and popular brand systems.

Please buy American made :)

These are the parts that hold the front wheels on the car. You should definitely avoid Chinese knock-offs when it comes to suspension parts.

I spent alot of time checking these out at the SEMA show as well. To be honest they looked like a very high quality product. I spent alot of time researching them when I got back and from what I can figure out, they are produced by ProComp. I had considered buying them, just because the price is right, but everyone knows that the steel quality is no where near the same in China as it is here.
I am curious if anyone is using them though. I just want to know how much of a difference they really make in the ride. I had my factory A-Arms powder coated but am still considering the tubular ones while the car is apart.

Rob-
check this thread; you'll get a sense of the controversial nature surrounding these arms.
I run the lowers, as stated in the thread.

they are crappy and the customer service is even worse...they arnt able to warranty any parts even the bushings, they will tell you there on the way and you will never get them... im not going to just repeat what everyone says "buy american" that may be true but if you want to hear it from sombody with real live experience im here to tell you your better off rebuilding your arms with qaulity parts from energy suspension.trw, moog etc.... im on a budget and i didnt buy these arms becouse there tubular i bought them becouse a set of cross shafts 120.00 ball joints 100.00 bushings 60.00 thats 300.00 in parts plus my time sandblasting and powder coating so for 100.00 more id have a brand new set ready to bolt on....problem is there cross shafts i read on other post there made of pot metal and break, witch i cant confirm that but there deff not beefy stock steel like trw or moog, there ball joints are crappy and when bolted up theres a tremendous amount of drag to turn them, bushings shattered on instalation and was given the run around and still havent got replacements after over a month....so there it is a unbiased review without the same ol buy american debate in there im talking specificly about "kmj" there garbage and so is there whole company, after they ripped me off i did a bunch of searching and found out its not just there arms but intakes, cylinder heads etc are all junk!!!!!!

As I've stated previously, I've had no problems yet with their Lowers, but if I do, this forum will be the first to know about it.
As for their Uppers and cross shafts- I only know what I've read here; I used SCC adjustables just because of the adjustability for alignments and a hair more clearance for headers/lower column access. They still lack a 'droop support' bump stop, but I'll retro-fit something onto the frame to remedy that.

Based on the number of negative responses to KMJ in general, I'll presume posting pics of the installed LCAs will not be necessary. [boo-hoo]

Oh well, I'll try to have a Merry Xmas anyway; hope you all can do the same.

Not sure how or where the subject "flanged bushings" came up in this thread, but OK.
Did we change topics to 'end link bushings'?

chinese have been selling twinkies here for years. dont think you can even buy american twinkies anymore.

I run the upper and lower tubular a arms from kmj on my 68 camaro and have had no problems at all. when american companies figure out that middle class car guys cant afford $800-$1000 for a upper and lower set of a arms they will lower the price. I mean come on this aint even new technology here. oh well I have owned my car since 1983. dont want to hack anyone off but the prices on some of this stuff is why the chinese are copying it.

no I love my country. the chinese have some junk products just like some american companys do. you cant deal in absolutes for everything. I am running these a arms with no problems. have seen other chinese stuff I wouldnt touch. if you want to deal with absolutes then support a free market economy or not. my point is let people buy the best product for the money. I mean china builds some stuff with prison/slave labor. guess what that will be junk. just saying if you want to hate a product hate it because it is junk, not because it was made out of country. mark
