I'm intalling all new rear parking brake cables on my 69 chevelle. The problem is I can't figure out what the end that feeds through the backing plate attaches to. This is the end that somehow expands the brake shoes when the parking brake is depressed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!!

There should be a lever with a notch that hooks to the rearward shoe and an arm that goes in between the shoes and the lever.
