I'd hate to see the price if those were LS-6 strikers.

I have a pair of those myself...in the GM box....maybe I'll throw them on ebay and see if there are any like minded people ;)

I love that when everytime something goes for a lot of money on ebay, everyone starts with the "shill bidding" routine. Give it a break please. I sell about 30 items a week on ebay and sometimes stuff just goes for stupid money and thats life.

Found these for $12.00 on the internet. Some people are crazy, but I can't say much because I took advantage of many people on ebay that bid way too much for what I was selling. Its always worth what they are willing to pay.:D

Ya know you guys are making fun of this, but I think many have overlooked the fact that they are probably not correct for 1964-72 GM cars.

I believe the correct striker would use an allen wrench. Not a Torx.

The strikers in this auction are for newer cars.
Again, buyer beware. You've got to know your facts.

I don't know of any GM parts numbers that start with a 2 that would be correct for our 64-72 cars. Unless it's a superceded #.

Most of the real 1964-72 NOS stuff will start with a 37XXXXX 38XXXXX or a 39XXXXX
Then sometime in the 70's the numbers started to begin with 1XXXXXXX

If there's a barcode on the packaging. it's not true NOS.

Somebody look up the original part number for the 1960's strikers. Is it really 20151275 ? I doubt it.

I believe my 70 has torx on it - They sure look original.

My 66 Has allen head, I have an untouched original 1970 in the garage that has the Torx style.

that is correct. Both my 70 SS and 72 GS have a torx..along with the a Ram Air 1970 Judge that a good friend owns that has 70,000 original miles and is all original except for the tires.

Ahh, but Mr. FastVellen, $455 for a pair of strikers is beyond stupid...it's insane.

1969 may be the last year for the hex. Or some of the 1970 car had them?
All of the 69's I have had were the hex type.

I took a pair of the torx style off an 83 El Camino. Im not sure if those would be the same as the older torx style. Being metric and all.
