just curious what you guys think a bare 12 bolt housing for a 67 is worth. I was outbid on ebay for a clean housing only and my highest bid was $595. Can't you buy these new from some companies for about this price? Not original, of course.

I sold a gorgeous '65 3.31 non-posi a few years back for $350. Bought a '65 3.07 non-posi last year and gave $350 for it but it needed to have the shock mounts repaired. Both prices are for complete, drum-to-drum rearends that drove ok. I should think you'd be able to buy a complete rear for less than $500 but you have to look around, the early 12 bolts are harder to find than they used to be.... Are you looking for a specific date code? I can drop you a line next time there's one for sale down South.

I just had a friend of mine sell a 12 bolt open diff. rearend for $200. I should have jumped on it. You could also check www.moserengineering.com (http://www.moserengineering.com) they build good rearends and have excellent prices too.

I just bought one from California for 3 bills, spent buck fifty getting it to Ohio. These are getting rare, exspecially if you want the exact width for your beast. I had to repair the shock mount, of course. I have seen them go for 5-600 on e-bay, good luck!
