Is there any all around average to cut front springs for a 1 inch drop? I keep taking a few pounds from the front of my Monte & I'd like the front about an inch lower.
I was going to try 1/2 a coil. Would that get me close?

I thing I've heard that half a coil will drop you an inch. I guess it would depend on the spring rate and/or height.
I don't know for sure, though. Did you try searching the forum? It's been mentioned before.

I have a '68 convertible with sb400. I have the ST 1" lowering springs. I cut 1/2" off the front and it lowered the car about 1/2" more. It depends on your car's weight and the spring's rate.
