Well I bought a new control arm (old one busted) and some 2" drop coil springs from Coilsprings.com which is a cool place for springs! But my shocks look like crap, my back ones are air shocks and also are worn all to hell, but I need to know what I should throw on the front with my drop springs. Prices to! If anyone knows em. :D

Phil,
You could go with KYB's, Monroes, Bilsteins, Tokicos, etc. etc.
You might also want to do a search as there has been some good discussions in the Brakes & Suspension forum about this.
Good luck,
Joe

I also used shorter springs to lower my ride 2in. Year One sells Delco gas charged shocks for F41 heavy duty suspension that sits about 2in lower than the stock suspension. Just a shorter shock. They work fine on my 65.

I have used Edelbrock shocks and Bilsteins with excelent results. I have used KYBs and not been nearly as pleased with the first two. The Tokicos have been ok, but I would rather spend the extra $$ for the Edelbrocks they were that much better.

Well Kragen has Monroes for alot cheaper than a set of Edelbrocks, I dont think id get a bad ride out of them. I think Im going to buy a set of Monroes tomorrow, let me know if anyone has had problems with them. Or what model/ series I should use?

I was reading some old posts on shocks, I hear that air shocks are no good! They can crack areas? Which makes sence because before my lower control arm blew out at the bushing, it crapped out on the bottom shock mount on the control arm, and the shock was scraping the street! Im not sure what kind of shocks are even in there, Im in the process of pulling them tonight and tomorrow, I only assume there beat up air shocks. I will probably snag a set of gas Monroes. So, screw air shocks? :D
