Eric & I were talking, and we watch all the old car movies that we can get our hands on- With the weather being sucky, and money being tight- not much going on right now with actual car projects- So started thinking we should do a TCNW Car guy movie night (or afternoon)...

We'd volunteer to host at his house or mine... Throw on a cool old car movie or two...

Basically just an excuse to watch stuff our wives hate, and hang out with our car friends again...

The original GONE in 60 SECONDs was filmed in the LA Harbor and Carson, CA where I was growing up. Would bring back some memories.

BTW, more old school. The Station House for "Emergency" the Paramedic TV show from the 70s was just down the street from my High School. Station 127 in reality, but "STATION 51" for the TV show.

At this point his attention span is not long enough to watch a car movie. I have to keep him interested by talking to him the whole time which is exhausting.:yes:

I've never seen that movie..

I've seen about 30 mins. of Two Lane Blacktop but it was in the middle of the movie. As for the others listed, I've only seen Smokey and the Bandit. Cannonball run would be an entertaining movie also I think, never seen all of that one either.

I was about it rent it thru the Blockbuster Movie Club where they mail it to your house....it was on my list for about a year before it showed up.

It's a must see for car guys...hearing that Rockcrusher trans whine is awesome.

I will be staying at my mom's house. I'll get you my number. I will be up there for a week, basically just screwing around. My mom and her boyfriend have to go to fairbanks so he can have surgery. So I will be house sitting, skiing, chasing women and drinkin :beers:

I have been to Fairbanks once before and it was a emergency trip so I didn't really get to look around. So yeah shoot me your number and I'll give you a call when we both get up there. Always better to check out a new town with a wingman.
