Can't tell for sure where the two small sidebody brace guides for my parking brake attach from my assembly manuel. Can anyone tell me where these go?
Also my old rear brake lines each had a clip attachment to them but not connected anywhere. Do These attach to the rear end cover?
Thanks, Jim

Jim,
I don't know what sidebody brace guides you are talking about for your parking brake, but the clip on the rear brake line does attach to the cover bolt.

These are located somewhere on the underside between the large hook and the clips that hold the rear parking brake cables in place. The are about 4" long with a little hook on each end. One hook to hold the cable and the other to attach to the underside of the body someplace, I think on one of the support braces; but not sure. Jim

Sounds like you need to buy an Assembly Manual ....$20.00 available everywhere .e-bay Year One etcetc answer all your questions ....the clips go in hole on the 1st body brace past the crossmember IIRC should be easy to see
rear brake lines ...clip ?? if your talking about lines from wheel cylinder to distribution block the only clips are welded to the axle tube other wise no brake line is attatched to rear cover just the distribution block to bracket bracket to rear diff cover bolt ......assuming were talking SS 12 bolt here.

thanks guys, have the manual and wasn't clear on which brace the guides went to. But finaly was able to tell by some wear marks. So somewhat of a new problem. Have the two smaller guides in place and the large guide that goes in the crossmember and a new center cable in place hooked to the two rear cables. Can't reach the front cable to attach it , cable appears to be to short. But I have a rear axel from a 68 and I think rear parking brake cable from a 68. No Idea about the front cable, origonal or aftermarket. I was wondering if the 68 and 66 rear cables extent the same distance forward from where they attach to the fram? If that's the case then maybe my front cable doesn't extend far enough back.
That's what I though about clips on the rear brake lines; but there was one on each side of the old lines I took off. Thanks, Jim
