I have a 72 chevelle with a 350. My problem is with the front left side, it seems to sag a little lower than the right. Also that side has more motion to it than the right, when i take hard right turn or i go over a rather large bump at a higer speed the tire scrapes on the inside of the fender. It only does this on the left side, i have no idea what is causing this. The coil spring are new. I have zero experience with suspension and any help or idea to fix this problem would be great.

The front springs may not be properly seated in the pocket in the frame or the lower control arm. Up inside the frame the top of the spring hooks into a lip that holds the spring, if you take a light you can look up inside the frame and see if the spring is properly seated. The spring end should be between the two holes in the lower control arm spring pocket. Another area to check is the body bushings, has the left side bushing between the radiator core support and the frame totally gone?

Up at the top there are actually two curved pieces that fit down inside the spring. The lower control arm has a groove to match the end of the spring. The spring end on the bottom end has to be indexed into this groove and I believe the end is to the front of the car to be indexed properly. You can see the proper position when the spring is out of the car. Index the spring 180 degrees and it is like adding a spacer under the spring lifting the car.
