: Correct silk screen on repro air cleaner assy?

I'm considering purchasing a reproduction air cleaner assembly from Paragon Corvette for the flash chrome and silk screen instructions. These appear to be the most correct. Although there have been a couple of posts about the silkscreening with some feedback that it was too small (which is better than nothing IMO).

My question is would a late '69 build (06B) have had the straight or curved silk screen? Paragon's listing shows the '68/69's to have curved and the '70's up to have straight. However Brad had straight on his original '69 (per an earlier post). I'm thinking it might have changed during the end of production year.

Any better options or alternatives? Thanks to all.

Alan, where were those posts about the silkscreening? On that one post you had where I referred to this nobody responded to my question. I believe I essentially asked "How accurate is their reproduction screening?"

I will be following the responses here as well. Good question

I think I posted a picture some place on here with my original air cleaner. Now if I can find that picture or even the post.

Here's Brad's post on the same subject: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253760

Here's Don's thread on an eBay takeoff with dissent about the correctness of silkscreen:

Here's the picture of Brad's air cleaner I lifted from one of his links.

If I don't get any answers, I suspect the straight would be the one for me. I'll order it and post good pics after I get it.

They don't show an image but do refer to "silkscreen" in the ad.
For the curved (and it's on sale): http://www.corvette-paragon.com/p-357726-air-cleaner-assembly.aspx
For the straight: http://www.corvette-paragon.com/p-357740-air-cleaner-assembly.aspx

Any chance of a side by side comparison of the two?
