well my chevelle is already tubbed out. but i think we are going to start over from nothing and go all new. what kits are out there that are affordable and easy to work with? i already have my narrowed up rear. so im in need of everything else. frame rails. coil over mounts etc . etc

FWIW, Chassis Engineering has a 30 minute instructional video for $25 that is the best instructional video I've ever seen. It's titled "Rear Subframe Installation" and takes you step-by-step through the process of backhalving your car in your own garage, and shows you in detail what has to be done for both a ladder bar, and a four link set-up.
The car they use in the video is a 69 Camaro, but it's still a must-see vid for any first time DIY'ers IMO. Chassis Engineering also sells all the components needed, but you can order and watch their vid whether you purchase the components from them or not.

S&W Racecars has a chevelle specific backhalf kit. It welds in BEFORE you cut out your old frame. Simple install and nice people to work with.

well after buy an already started prostreet project, and replacing alll the sheetmetal. body bout ready to paint. and the shop the car was at made a backhalf kit and it didnt turn out the way it should go figure....he blew smoke up my ass. long story short he kept dragin his feet i got pissed went and got my car back. and had a good friend who does great work look at it and say i dont like the backhalf i would want to start all over from scratch and do it my way. (i had him come look at it to enclose the trunk and tub work) so that set the project back. thats when i posted on here to ask for back halfkit info....after looking art morrison was the way i was going to go. but for 3 grand for the set up. i think im going to swap back to a stock frame. put in new trunk pans and floor pans up front and be done woth it. half the price i can have new pans and be done with the headache.....tough choice but stock width tires are sweet aswell and 3 years down the rode i might be glad i had a backseat! and a more comfortable ride:D
