Hi,
I am rebuilding my front suspension this winter and need some help selecting the right replacement springs. I ordered a front end kit from Kanter with poly bushings and new cross shafts as well as a 1.25" front sway bar. I dont want to sacrifice too much ground clearance, but a little bit would be ok. I was looking at the Hotchkis 1" lowering springs for $133 from summit, but also saw a suspension Techniques 1" drop spring for about $90/pr. Can anyone offer some insight as to whether the extra cost would be justified in going with the hotchkis springs? Anyone happy with the springs that they bought? Thanks a lot!!!
Jonny

I know alot of people around here are running the Hotchkis springs and really like them. I have some on the way for my 70.

I am happy with my Hotchkis 1" drop spings. They are on my big block 67 convertible. I did them at the same time I replace the shocks with KYBs, replaced all the bushings with poly and installed a 1.25" sway bar. Everything adds up to a great handling package.

I am not familiar with the suspension Techniques springs...but if they have similiar spring rates I think I would give them a try for a $43 savings.

Oh, by the way, the Hotchkis springs have a nice powder coating...if that matters.

Thanks a lot for the replies fellas. 64 postie and K janisch, you both have beautiful cars. 64 postie, what is your rear suspension setup if you dont mind me asking? I think I will go ahead and get the hotchkis springs, this board has made me a firm believer of the "do it once and do it right" philosophy. Thanks again guys!
