I just installed my new AGR box this weekend (Christmas present from the Wife!!). You will get varying opinions on this board, many like to do the junkyard scrounge or change using a Jeep gearbox, or having a rebuild company put in more aggressive ratios and stops. It all depends on how you go about building your car. I happen to love the AGR gearbox. My 71 now steers like a F1 racer. Going with the AGR box avoids all of the potential drawbacks (buying a bad junk yard unit, increased turning diameter, having to fab rag joints and hose connections) that the other options offer. The problem with the AGR box is Cost. It just depends on how you want to tackle the job. I can tell you that adding the steering box has probably made the most difference in the driveablity of my car (next to the 500 hp BBC)

I agree with Steve... I love my AGR...
I had a used box (Caprice Quick Ratio), a rebuild kit, the adapter fittings for the hoses and the "adapter" rag joint, but then my box in the car started making noises. I didn't have the time to rebuild the used quick ratio and if there were problems I'd be in trouble...
So I bought the AGR... A great purchase (especially since Summit had 10% off at the time)...
But AGR has some different boxes, so make sure its the one you need...
