Like the title says, does anyone know if this will fit? I have done a search on the impala site with no luck.

Thanks!

The 1969 Impala and Caprice power gear has the following specs:
Travel: (sweep of the pitman shaft) 78 1/2 degrees
Ratio: Variable 16:1 on center, 12.4:1 near full lock
Valve Effort: 15 to 21 inch-lbs (fairly light)

The 1992 1/2 through 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee specs are as follows:
Travel: 87 1/2 degrees (Requires travel stops in the Impala suspension. Otherwise front wheels will hit frame, fenderwells, fender lips, etc.)
Ratio: Straight 12.4:1 (Fast, more modern ratio. Some people may feel that it is too fast.)
Valve Effort: 20 to 26 inch-lbs (Heavier effort and probably better road feel.)

The JGC power gear will bolt right in. But you will have the same issues as 1960s and 70s Chevelles with respect to metric o-ring hose ports. Also the Impala input shaft is 13/16 and the JGC input shaft will be 3/4. You will need a new flexible coupling.
