I bought a disc brake conversion for my 69 and would like too know if I need anything else. The kit comes with everything at the wheels, spindles, rotors, etc. . I also got a proportioning valve. I have power brakes right now and want to know if my master cylinder will work. Both brake lines come out of the master and go too a metering/splitting? block at the frame and then one line goes to each front brake and one line goes too the back. Does this block stay. I havent recieved the kit yet but should be here in a couple of days. thanks.

You need a new master cylinder. Disc brakes need less fliud volume to work, I think, so you need a master that is set up to run discs and drums.

Depending on what kind of prop valve you got, you probably won't need the block that is on the frame now. If it's an adjustable type, it won't split the front breaks to the left and right like the block you have. If it's the type that takes the two lines from the master and outputs one to the left front, one to the right front, and one line to the rear, you should be all set.

I have a 76 nova that is setup with front disc/ rear drum just like my chevelle, will the booster and master cylinder work for the chevelle?
